We are trying to provide a Christmas for our children as he is a single father of a 2.5 year old boy. I work Part Time as a Medical Assistant and go to two schools full time University of Phoenix online, obtaining a psychology degree, and CAARR institute to become a drug and alcohol counselor.
As you see it is my passion to help others. However, this year we need some help. Both of our family's are broken. Our story is pretty cool, it's like Romeo and Juliet, you know the Montague's and the Capulet's, this is how I like to explain the family issues. So, we are leaning on each other. But financially we are drowning. We have just enough this month to pay the rent and pay utilities. Nothing for Christmas.
The 2.5 year old his mother is a drug addict and my son's father isn't far behind the 2.5 year old's mother he too is a drug addict.
So for us normal sober parents have stepped up to the plate, to do the best we can for our kids and not expose them to the other parents behaviors. It's very difficult as you may understand.
Anyhow, it would be a true blessing to receive gifts for the boys. Our December month is crazy. My best friends son's 3rd birthday is on the 12th of December and my (Mommy's Birthday) is Christmas Day. My birthday wish this year is for these two boys have had a rough couple of years to have a Christmas full of love from the world outside.
In regards to what the boys interests and likes are since both boys are 3 their interests in toys are pretty much the same. They love learning toys, Disney DVDS we have several movies already but don't have classics like Bambi, Dumbo, Lion King, The Little Mermaid, PBS Kids DVD's favorite shows include Ni Hao Kai Lan, Calliou, Super Why.
Of course they are into cars and motorcycle tracks, My son has a mobi go from last christmas so preschool games for mobi go are needed. My son's only request from Santa is a drum set but I don't know if I will be able to provide that this year. Both boys like to explore and dig for treasures.
We are hard working parents that just are keeping the roof and the lights on right now with no room for extras. If you can find it in your heart to help us this year with a gift or two we would be most grateful and you can be assured that when we are in the position to give back these boys will learn the lessons of giving and paying blessings forward to others in need.
